Ronald Reagan was for taxing the rich.

RR cut the tax rate for the highest income bracket from 70% to 28%.

I don't know where that ad is from. Maybe he did cut out some loopholes, but he still cut taxes for the rich.

As for "winning" the cold war....I don't view that as something to be particularly respected for. I guess it was a victory for RR personally, but not really a victory for humanity imo. Nothing remotely morally right about fighting for the wealthy to remain in control around the world. Not that I'm a soviet supporter either. I think both sides were about as bad as each other. Things that the US press and public associates with the USSR applies over here too. The idea that if you don't work you die, and high military spending for example. w

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

-The first man to appoint a woman to the supreme court.
-He created 28 million jobs over his time as president.
-He reformed social security.
-Had a 92 month economic boom after he cut taxes by 50% after taking office.

Residents of other countries might not of liked him, but in America where he mattered most he was a great president that's respected rightfully. He got our military on track after Vietnam. He gave hope to our people and actually, wait for it.. DELIVERED.

Whoa cal can't believe a socialist like you would love a man like reagan so much. yeah i would say reagan was the best though. Though if elected Ron Paul would the very best we ever had.

FDR Started a socialist country and left us in the worst depression ever. JFK didn't know what he was doing and wanted to go to war with everyone. He also expanded the socialist policies. Johnson did the same thing, as well as Bush and Clinton, and now Obama.

Bush was ok but not great though.

Whilst Roosevelt did do things which would ordinarily have plunged the country into further debt, all the war debts owed to America from the allied and the axis countries actually led to two decades of prosperity for America. I'd argue it was the foreign policies of Johnson which led to the depression of the 1970's. The space race didn't help either. JFK wanted to go to war with everyone eh? Is that why the Cuban missile crisis was dealt with peacefully and he was able to make friends with the soviets?

Also, you always seem to hate on anything remotely socialist. But the truth is a lot of socialist type policies are very beneficial to the general public. Like free healthcare, education, free medical prescriptions to anyone unemployed or under 18 ect. Of course they can be costly. But I don't care too much about that so long as I'm able to live comfortably.

Yeah but when it is destroying our nation it is not needed. America is in a slump right now because of all the democratic and some republican presidents(bush mostly). Doesn't matter if we live good for 3 years because the next 10 or 20 will be horrible. nothing but hardships and hardships. america use to be a great country. now the gov has took out of our pockets and is evil. we need to rebel against them. everything the gov does is evil. they don't care about us only themsevles. you need to learn pelador, if you are a true american.

Oh well then that explains why you are the only one here that dislikes Ron Paul. But I also think that Jefferson was the best president in my opinion. Without him we wouldn't be here today.

Well, I'm from Ireland so obviously I could be ignorant but I do know about George Washington and what he accomplished.
Read up about how him and his army, together with Lafayette and Von Steuben endure the cold and come out the victors.
It's moving.

"We know," she said. "We've seen the future. We know you're going to kill the world..."

Release it Gohan! Release everything! Remember all the pain he's caused... The people he's hurt... NOW MAKE THAT YOUR POWER!!!!

George Washington was a very poor general though, who lost most of his battles. Was it the battle of Lexington which was his most famous victory? Well it could have so easily been a defeat, had a certain British General paid more attention to one of his spies instead of playing cards.

And Emma, trust me I am far from the only person here who is not a fan of Ron Paul. Some of us actually think, including members who like him, that you praise him just a little too much. Maybe you could tone down the arse kissing a little bit. He's not the be all and end all after all. He's just a man with a plan who's doing what he can. He's not Jesus.

I'm putting that in my sig if that's ok with you, epic win xD

To be honest, I don't think there is a 'best' president. Each President brought something good and bad to America and it's just a matter of perspective whether you see their actions as beneficial or detrimental to the USA.

That's very true. I don't think there's ever been a President who didn't make a mistake at some point. Some were worse than others of course. E.g Herbert Hoover's whole administration lol.

The reason George Washington is praised so much is because he was the base structure of the "new America". At the time when he was a general he was surrounded by British as well as Loyalists. Whether or not what he did was justified or whatever, he was against the greatest empire at the time as well as 20% of people occupying the colonies that supported the mother country. Not too many people have that on their resume.

As for your second part, I completely agree.
